Hello, and welcome to the website for Freedom’s Journey!
Freedom’s Journey is a nonprofit corporation committed to providing better options for victims and survivors of all forms of human trafficking.
Our mission is to assist those who have been enslaved to find the freedom and safety they deserve.
We do this through relationships and collaboration, as we help them navigate the challenges they encounter along their journey.
We work collaboratively with other stakeholders to provide survivors with resources to meet their security, transportation, physical, medical, emotional, and mental health care needs.
We also work with high risk individuals in order to reduce the possibility of their becoming victims of human trafficking.
Freedom’s Journey serves victims and survivors in western South Dakota and the surrounding region.
Your generosity makes it possible for us to help survivors write a better tomorrow story.
After the outstanding success of our sold out 1st Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction last year, we are excited to invite you to attend Tomorrow’s Story 2019! Tomorrow’s Story 2019 will help fund our mission assisting human trafficking survivors throughout the coming year.
Tomorrow’s Story 2019 will feature compelling speakers, a great meal, and an opportunity to support our mission to assist survivors of human trafficking as they write their very best Tomorrow’s Story, and you will also learn more about human trafficking in our region.
If you’d like to be an event sponsor, or if you’d like to sponsor a table of eight at Tomorrow’s Story 2019, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

Comments shared by a few of those involved:
“Sadly, human trafficking is occurring in our state. I will fight diligently for the resources and training law enforcement needs to identify, deter and end human trafficking in South Dakota.
Freedom's Journey is an excellent example of an organization that is making a difference assisting victims in the struggle to prevent human trafficking!”
-Jason Ravnsborg , South Dakota Attorney General
"Human trafficking victims and survivors are all around us, silently dealing with their fear and shame. Many are unable to escape their situation, as there is nowhere to run! They are often further victimized by a system that doesn't recognize their desperate needs.
Freedom's Journey offers many of the immediate services that are required to step up and out of their desperate situations."
~Kelly Patterson, Survivor - Consultant
I’m Sally and I recently was in need of help with fuel costs to escort another survivor to an out of state court appointment. Without the help of Freedom’s Journey - My Sister Survivor and I, would not have been able to attend this much needed court appointment. Thank you, Freedom’s Journey for your HELP.
PLEASE DONATE TO FREEDOM’s JOURNEY, SURVIVORs LIKE MYSELF, MAY DEPEND ON YOUR DONATION.
Sincerely, Sally Richardson
Children from towns, cities, and rural communities are exploited and enslaved to fulfill the sexual desires of strangers, in order to profit others, every day in America.
Men and women across this land are trapped under the brutal yoke of labor trafficking and sexual exploitation. They are silently living out their days, unseen and unheard.
But there is hope!
The mission is clear, and the work is daunting, but there is no better time than right now to bring modern day slavery to an end!
Together we can make it happen!
